Christingle service

December 30, 2018

It really was a beautiful sight when all of our children stood with their Christingles lit in the aisle of All Saints Church. We hope the pictures do it justice! Earlier this morning, the children had worked in their house groups to construct their Christingles. This is the first time we have organised it this way and it was lovely to see the older children helping out their younger team mates. Thank you to all who supplied an orange and to Liz Hammond who organised the sweets, candles and ribbon.

In the service, the children sang really well despite several issues with the sound system and the Ethos group led the service for the first time. Well done Ethos! Many parents said how much they had enjoyed the service and one visitor commented on the excellent behaviour of all the children.

The whole event was a lovely celebration and many of the children enjoyed a little sing-song on the walk back to school.
