Music
Music can be heard on a daily basis somewhere within the walls at All Saints. Singing, playing, listening and appreciating in lessons led by enthusiastic staff mean that music is a subject which thrives in our school. Children are proud composers and performers who love to share their learning through assemblies, productions, choir and music events.
Our children say:
“I like that in music lessons we get to actually play instruments and perform them which builds our confidence.” - Harriet
“Music can change a whole mood – like the first few notes of the Jaws theme tune!” - Brooke
“We can make up our own songs.” - Bailey
“I enjoy listening to music and learning about its history.” - Morio
“Music helps us work together.” - Amelia
To help achieve this, every child in Years 3 and 4 learns to play the glockenspiel and the Ocarina in Years 5 and 6. Singing assembly is very popular with the children and we do like our Christmas and end of year musical productions.
